Good in the Hood’s “Shoe Bus” Program
Fare For All has an on-going partnership with another valuable community organization- Good in the ‘Hood, which offers user-friendly community services and volunteer opportunities. One of their focus areas is hunger relief through their “Feeding the Future” program. This program offers food distribution through food shelves, hot meals, weekend food programs, and more. One way to financially support “Feeding the Future” is by purchasing shoes from the “shoe bus”. Sponsored by Schuler Shoes, new and gently used shoes are collected, sorted, then the best of the best are sold right off the bus! Brands include New Balance, Nike, Clarks, and more. Adult sizes are $5/pair, kids sizes are $2/pair! Open to ALL, credit and debit card payments accepted. See below to find out where the “shoe bus” will be this month!
Fare For All works hard to make sure our packages contain healthy staples – items like fresh produce and lean meats that are usually most expensive at the grocery store. In addition to sourcing products with nutrition in mind, our on-staff dietitian provides easy recipes and nutrition tips to eat healthy on a budget.
